FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about RapidMed, emergency profile access, privacy settings, and QR-based sharing.

How is my medical data protected?

We use sensible safeguards to protect accounts and information. For full detail, read the Privacy Policy in the app. Sign-in may use email codes when needed. Your emergency page only opens when someone uses your QR link, and they only see what you allowed for their type of viewer. If you upload documents through Google, the files stay in your Google account; the Privacy Policy explains what RapidMed keeps on its side.

What are Public, Family, and Professional visibility?

In Settings you pick, for each topic (like allergies, health readings, or documents), whether it is visible to everyone with your QR link, only to family emails you added, or only to verified healthcare professionals on RapidMed. You are not limited to one single setting for the whole profile.

How does the QR code work in an emergency?

Scanning the code opens your RapidMed profile in a web browser, so responders are not required to install a separate application to read your profile. When signed in, you may use the in-app scanner to read another person’s QR code. Anyone with access to your QR link may attempt to view your profile, subject to your selected privacy settings.

What if I lose my phone or need a new QR link?

Your profile is tied to your account, not to a single device. You may sign in from any supported web browser. In Settings, you may turn QR access off or generate a new QR token; refreshing invalidates previous links, so update or reprint any physical cards after a change.

Can I see when my profile was viewed?

Yes. The Logs section in the app shows access activity when your QR code is scanned or your profile is viewed, including the type of access and, when available, the account that viewed it.

Is RapidMed free?

Yes. RapidMed is provided at no charge to users.

Can I print my medical ID?

Yes. From the dashboard, you may open the printable medical card layout with your QR code, print it, or save it as a PDF (CR80 wallet size—use 100% scale when printing).
